House
the Hub
A Rutgers University student organization dedicated to alleviating homelessness in New Brunswick.
1,065 individuals reported being homeless on the night of Point in Time in 2015. 76 individuals, including 2 children, were unsheltered.

We hope to connect people working to end homelessness in New Brunswick. We prioritize three goals:
Immediate relief by providing basic needs such as food, water, clothes.
Providing information about and organizing emergency shelters as needed.
An end to homelessness by fundraising for housing first initiatives and advocating for prevention.
Fundraise
Alleviating homelessness requires donations and fundraising. Organize community clothing drives or innovative crowdsourcing ideas for houses.
Volunteer
Lend a helping hand to those in need. Volunteer to collect and distribute resources, plan skill-building events, for community services hours and more.
Storytelling
Misinformation and stereotypes of homelessness continue to persist. Help collect and spread the right information through different mediums.
